Identify what needs restoring

Pro is a one-time purchase without automatic subscription renewal. Restore Purchases lets FolioTone ask Apple to check the existing transaction. You do not need a FolioTone account, but you do need to use the appropriate Apple account associated with the earlier purchase.

Distinguish missing Pro entitlements from an empty book library before taking action. A purchase does not contain copies of your locally stored books and audio. If material was deleted or the app is newly installed on another device, restoring the transaction does not automatically recover it.

Restore while connected

Open Settings and find FolioTone Pro, or open the paywall. Restore Purchases is available in both places. Use an internet connection so Apple can check the transaction. If the system asks you to authenticate an account, follow Apple's interface on your device.

When the operation finishes, read the result and return to the Pro area to check access. Avoid repeatedly tapping purchase or trying unrelated accounts without a clear reason. Recording the outcome is more helpful if you need to contact support about a persistent problem.

If the entitlement still does not appear

Check the account used for App Store transactions and review your purchase history using Apple's own tools. Do not assume an account used for another service on the device is necessarily the one that bought Pro. Identify the relevant purchase before making broad account changes.

If the issue continues, note the app version, iOS version, and exact message. Send support a screenshot with personal information hidden if useful. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or private documents; none of these is needed to describe a purchase restoration problem. Describe the steps you already tried as well.

Keep document copies separately

After restoring Pro, you may need to import source files you still have in Files if you are starting with a new library. Previously exported audio remains wherever you saved it. Open those copies to confirm that the material you need is actually available.

For future device changes, treat purchase restoration and book backup as separate jobs. Apple handles the transaction; PDF/TXT sources and WAV/M4A exports are copies you manage. Making that distinction helps you prepare before replacing a phone, reinstalling the app, or clearing local storage.

TRY IT WITH YOUR OWN WORDS
