Privacy policy

1. Scope and publisher

Applies to FolioTone — Unlimited TTS Reader on iPhone/iPad and foliotone.wpstories.org.

2. App data

• PDFs, TXT files and text are copied or saved in the app’s local storage.
• OCR and speech generation run on device. We do not operate a server service that receives your books to generate speech.
• Your library, extracted/edited text, bookmarks, reading/listening positions, audio, settings and Pro voice usage count are stored on device.
• PDF passwords are remembered in Keychain only when you choose to save them on device.

3. No accounts or advertising

The app requires no account and includes no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. Text-to-speech does not require location, contacts or microphone access. File access and sharing happen when you choose them.

4. Purchases and Apple

Apple handles payment and verifies FolioTone Pro ownership. The app reads transaction status to unlock features; we do not receive card or payment details. Transaction data, diagnostics or data shared with Apple follow Apple’s policies and your settings.

5. Backups, exports and sharing

Device/iCloud backups follow system settings. Files you export or share go to your chosen destination or service; you and that service manage those copies. Downloading cloud-stored books may need an internet connection and follows that provider’s policies.

6. Website, fonts and browser storage

This website has no analytics, advertising pixels or book upload forms. It uses localStorage to remember VI/EN. Fonts load from Google Fonts; Google and the hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser information or connection logs to deliver resources under their own policies. We do not use this information for cross-site tracking.

7. When you contact support

If you email us, you provide your email address and message. This information is used to handle your support request; do not send passwords, payment details or entire books unnecessarily. Request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the same address.

8. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete it, caches are cleared or the app is uninstalled. Exports and backups are not automatically deleted with it. There is no server account to close.

9. Children and policy updates

The app does not create user profiles or knowingly collect children’s data. Contact the publisher about information sent through support. If data handling changes, this page and its revision date will be updated.
