Keep the original before making changes

Save an original TXT copy in Files before importing it into FolioTone. If you plan to adjust sentences for listening, the source helps you compare or start again. A small text document is also a simpler first experiment than a large PDF filled with images and elaborate page layouts.

After import, inspect the beginning, a passage in the middle, and the ending. Look for broken Vietnamese accents, unusual symbols, or missing lines. When the original text is already damaged, changing the narrator cannot repair it. Correct or save the source properly and import a fresh copy.

Let paragraphs keep their meaning

Distinguish a line break caused by narrow columns from one that begins a new idea. Text copied from another document can turn every short line into a separate paragraph. Rejoin sentences that were accidentally split while preserving genuine paragraph boundaries that help the argument or story progress.

Clear punctuation and useful headings make structure easier to hear. Avoid adding marks purely to force a rhythm if they change the author’s meaning. In your own notes, spelling out an abbreviation can make a trial recording easier to understand, especially when the abbreviation appears without surrounding context.

Choose a voice and test a short passage

Use a Vietnamese voice for Vietnamese text and Clear English for English. For bilingual writing, prepare separate passages when different voices are needed. Do not assume a single selected voice will automatically detect every sentence language and switch narration styles throughout a mixed document.

Generate a sample containing a heading, a longer sentence, and a few numbers before preparing everything. FolioTone can divide content into audio parts. Those are practical generation and listening units, rather than a claim that the TXT file originally contained PDF-style pages or an automatically discovered chapter structure.

Finish the audio before taking it elsewhere

Keep the app in the foreground while speech is generated and wait for the material you need to finish. Use WAV/M4A export when you want a separate audio file, within the displayed limits. Give the export a recognizable name so it is distinguishable from earlier trial recordings.

Gentle, Warm, and Clear English have no daily character quota on Free. Export and batch actions still have their own limits. Finish one short document, inspect the exported file, and then apply the same deliberate workflow to longer material instead of discovering problems after a much larger job.
